Lauren & Brandon
I’m pretty sure that the way I’m about to tell Lauren and Brandon’s story with my words just won’t do it justice, so bear with me. I’m not one to be super sentimental with words, but these guys deserve the most loving and romantic of adjectives. They’re incredibly sweet, they show so much love to each other ALL the time (and I mean, ALL the time), they’re passionate, they’re intelligent, they’re amazing writers, and they just exude happiness.
We met up at the Zion National Park visitor’s center the day before their wedding, to chat, hang in nature, and scout for their ceremony. After spending the following 3 days together, we said goodbye with a late night dinner at a very random hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint somewhere between Utah and Arizona. It was pretty perfect.
On their wedding day, we started at their cabin in Zion. They hung out together all morning until it was time to put on their clothes and do the first look. After that, their 10 guests hopped on the trolley and we met up at the Temple of Sinawava for their wedding ceremony. This is a pretty popular location since it’s the entrance to the Zion Narrows, but we were able to take over a small area and keep it somewhat private. During their ceremony we could hear a little boy playing in the river and blowing a very enthusiastic whistle, which made the experience so much more real and immersive. We toasted with a little champagne, spent a little quality family time, and then the 3 of us took off to shoot all over the park until sunset. Now I really hope that my photos tell a better story than my words just did, so here you go!
